It was drizzling. I ran across the road looking for shelter, pass many women still persisting with selling their wares in the rain. Then I heard a gentle voice from behind me saying, "Madam, do you want some bananas, I only have one bunch left..." She was barely 10 years old. Many children her age and younger are out on the streets, doing whatever works, trying to make ends meet for their families.

This was taken at a mustang sanctuary in Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico, USA. Over 75 wild horses have been rescued, many were headed to the slaughter house. They now live on 5000 acres in northern New Mexico. The light was spectacular.
I went to see my old friends Jan and Maria today for cups of tea and a chat. Jan escaped from Nazi occupied Poland, made his way through Europe to eventually settle in the Uk. Maria is from Naples. She left when in her early twenties and like Jan made her way to the UK. Maria has never returned to Italy. They were married in Oxford and have one son called Donato. No one could want for better friends than these. Love and peace to you both.
While taking some out of state friends on a cruise in the Hudson River in Manhattan, NYC, an ancient shipped sailed across from our tour boat. The heavy fog and storm clouds make it a cinematic moment. Much of the background is original, just accented a bit in post.
