I like to stop time and photograph the moment. During my trips for jobs or for holidays I take with me my M8 and set it up on Automatic; the lens I prefer is 24 or 35/2mm. That's what I did in the airport of Barcelona, when I saw this woman walking by and quickly captured the situation. It is very important to capture the perfect moment. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it won't. M8 1 /60 iso 320 summicron 35 / 2 (version 3) photoshop cs3 + silver EFEX pro.
This picture I shot at the outskirts of Old Delhi. I was assigned to photograph by different NGOs. These NGOs commeted themselves to help and accompany the poorest of the poor in Indian society, the so called "Runway"- or "Railway-Kids".
The brethren called "babbaluti" bring the cross on their shoulders with Jesus crucified for expiating the human sins. I have tilted the camera to give the feeling of effort end heavyness to the observer, that at that time the brethren were bearing. The photo was taken in S. Marco d'Alunzio, a little and old town near Messina in Sicily in 2008. The procession is held every year the friday that precedes on holy friday.
Ryio Mori, Miss Universe 2007, shot at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Tokyo Midtown. This is before her press conference with the japanese press on the first day she returned to Tokyo after winning the title. I used M8 and Noctilux.
